Russia, if you're still listening... The Supreme MAGAt
has spoken.
I think you might want to listen, there isn't anything
wrong with listening. If somebody called from a country, Norway, (or Russia, or
China, or North Korea, etc.) “we have information on your opponent”-- oh, I
think I'd want to hear it.,, It's not an interference, they have information --
I think I'd take it...It's called oppo research...The FBI director is
wrong.
This is how America is great again. He is not only
above the law, he IS the law. The king has spoken.
Get over it, libs. Get over it, Democrats. Get over it
Congress, Get over it, Justice Department. Get over it, FBI. Get over it,
courts. Get over it, Constitution.
And get over it, Founders.
"An avaricious man might be tempted to betray the
interests of the state to the acquisition of wealth. An ambitious man might
make his own aggrandizement, by the aid of a foreign power, the price of his
treachery to his constituents."
- Federalist Paper No. 75
"Fake Founders", amirite?
He is risen! America’s Best Christian, Mrs. Betty Bowers reminds us: “Today is the day that Evangelicals celebrate the birth of their Lord and Savior.”
Merry Trumpmas, everybody!

You quoted something from the Federalist Papers? What are you, a "Conversative Originalist"?
Remember, our founding documents are like the Bible. People take what they want and ignore the rest.
TB3,
Yeah, I AM a conservative originalist. In fact, I am more a conservative originalist than any Republican, any Federalist Society member, or Heritage Foundation member.
I want to take our country back. Way back. Back for the Native Americans and their descendants. Minorities are welcome, but White people must go. They only brought us death, disease, greed, and Trump. They can all leave, thank you. Since most white voters went for Trump, we know lily-white Mother Russia is more their kind of country, anyway.
Pack up your golf clubs, guns, and Bibles. Off to White World with you! It is the only way America can be great again.
Well, yeah, that's somewhat extreme. I, personally, would prefer to avoid the ethno-nationalism similar to what many of Trump's supporters would seem to support. Diversity is strength, afterall. Even taking into account the sins of certain people's fathers.
TB3,
It was just a fantasy, since there's no way imaginable for such a concept to be actualized. Since most white voters went for Trump, it proves white people are still a major problem for our country. They seem to have difficulty evolving past authoritarian tendencies. They are still a frightened race, due to, as you mentioned, the sins of their forebears.
It would be preferable to rehabilitate and educate the errant white people.
Don't get me wrong. Some of my best friends and relatives are white people. Most of them are decent, so I know there's hope. A few are Trump voters, so I know we still need that hope.
However, until they show an understanding of the evil of white supremacy and Trumpism, they are on notice. It would be nice to know most of them are not as ill-informed, ignorant, and racist as their leader and his base. Perhaps the 2020 election will show they have learned a bit. However as long we have a Senate under McConnell, their prognosis would remain negative.
Maybe after they open their minds, discover the value of diversity, and accept the equality of others, white people can be educated on the merits of basic human decency and representative democracy over nationalism, authoritarian corporatism, and unregulated capitalism.
Until then they are an impediment to our nation's progress, sane environmental policies, and general welfare of the people.
Time for tough love.
But I can dream.

There's that broad brush I dislike, again. Be careful with this kind of language. It gives the JTFs of the world/internet something to wet their diapers over.
"It would be preferable to rehabilitate and educate the errant white people." - DD
And what education would you advocate for? Mind you, this sort of language is pretty totalitarian. Furthermore, not every white person who voted for Trump did so because they are a raging homophobe/racist/fascist/etc. There are of course single-issue voters to consider that vote for one thing at the expense of everything else.
"Maybe after they open their minds, discover the value of diversity, and accept the equality of others, white people can be educated on the merits of basic human decency and representative democracy over nationalism, authoritarian corporatism, and unregulated capitalism." - DD
Again. More fodder for the JTFs. Round up all White People and Re-Educate them! This is what their worst fevered ramblings of some Obama initiatives that they came up with.
"But I can dream."
This is eerily similar to a lot of the complaints I see and read online from Millenials in regards to Baby Boomers. They lay out all of their troubles on the Boomers, which is not completely true nor is it fair.
White people aren't the problem, everyone who voted Republican is the problem. White people, by majority voted Republican, but they weren't the only ones who put Trump into the White House. Only 37 percent of all Millenials who voted, voted for Trump. 20 percent of that 37 percent weren't white.
I was admonished for suggesting that people voting for Stein held a greater degree of blame for the Trump Presidency. I can concede that, perhaps, the real issue was the horrible turnout and the number of people who decided not to vote at all may be the culprit. Similarly, I think it's fair to say that the issue and the future of our country is more nuanced than 'WHITE PEOPLE BAD'.
Besides, Racial Demographics are rapidly changing and may be a self-correcting problem as the older generations make way for the younger.

TB3,
Your nuance and reasoned statements are welcome and appreciated.
I should come clean. I was trolling. Or satirizing trolling. The line can be blurry.
"They can all leave". "Some of my best friends and relatives are white people. Most of them are decent,..."
This is a parody of white nationalism, of course. "And SOME (Mexicans) I assume, are good people". Sarcasm and satire are my preferred channels for the outrage within.
Sadly there is that element of truth to my ranting.
No matter how else we try to frame it, the Republican Party is the party of rich white men, and they will employ racism and deceit, appealing to the worst of our natures, to hold power. Now the Party of Trump has come to represent white nationalism. The rot is still white to the core.
I was just reflecting their style for contrast.
But I still love the under-educated white folk, despite the rubes, dupes, bumpkins, and bigots among them. (Speaking of bigots, JTF has been MIA for an unusually long period.)
My anger is only for those who deceive them and inflame their resentments and anger, while directing it at other groups.
Since I was once an authoritarian personality, perhaps I need to purge such tendencies through such smart-ass commentary.
I just hope the country can survive long enough for white people to become a minority, or at least more progressive. White nationalism, or any other kind, is an evil that must be defeated.

Oh you. You. You! You got me, you. I ventured down under the bridge and got eaten by a troll. You can't see me, but I'm shaking my fist at you so hard.
TB3,
I appreciate you steering me away from the dark side.
I'm still waiting for JTF to declare that I'm a New Black Panther and Nation Of Islam activist. That is, if the dear fellow isn't too under the weather.
If he's not biting on this low-hanging fruit, it makes me wonder about his health. He's been quiet at other haunts too.
Or I could just add him to the list of other RWA's who became too flustered to engage in discussion. It can't be easy, regurgitating all the dogma and indoctrinated beliefs to no avail.
Silly libs just won't listen to the real Americans anymore.
Probably in a holding pattern as to what talking points to stick to while they wait for the latest Alex Jones allegations to run its course.
Or maybe they're preparing their BS arguements defending the President's "Jokes" insinuating he could be President for Life.

Your austerity program must have worked, Dave. You starved the beast. ;-)

:-) Probably...
I have to say my little exercise in authoritarian-style ranting revealed a certain satisfaction. It is true that resentment and anger can never be satiated. Still, identification with a group and a sense of belonging can come from the simple flow of shared emotional response, as opposed to operating from the confines of rational exposition.
Obviously I turned the tables on white privilege and power, instead of demeaning and demonizing minorities. But the tactic is the same.
This is why it FEELS so good to be a con-servative ideologue. You don't have to depend on facts, logic or evidence. Compassion? Reasoned discourse? Who needs those feeble lib values, when I FEEL I am in the right? Especially when the Leader and his entire party seem entirely in control, "owning the libs" simply by power of triggered emotional responses.
Honesty has no value. Denial of facts can have as much, or more, emotional impact than reporting or accepting them. They know they can get away with unilaterally defining terms, rigging any discussion in their favor.
This is how the authoritarian minority has always risen to power, which they would then promptly and inevitably abuse.
But it sure FEELS right.
Thank you for tolerating my "racist" indulgence and deviance of discourse.
I FEEL better for it. ;-)
Just don't let it happen again. :)
It was an exercise in "Conservative" fears made manifest. Now that it's published, all a "Conservative" would have to do is point to your comments, ignore the context of it being parody, and declare 'SEE!'.
TB3,
I never thought of that... Do you mean to say conservatives would willfully and (gasp) DISHONESTLY misrepresent someone's words? Imagine my shock. ;-)
Of course, I'm guessing it's what they would already FEEL.
Could it be worse than my being a commie AND a devoted follower of Nation of Islam?
Darned if we don't need JTF now to set us straight. That would be mighty white of him.
"Darned if we don't need JTF now to set us straight." ~~ Dave Dubya
Dave, don't forget "narrow"...
...as in mindedness. ;-)
JG,
Poor JTF must be incapacitated, or just worn down by his hatred and lies. Eventually these can burden the transgressor to exhaustion.
Or...
He's given up! We win!

These ultra-marathons are tough, but to the victor goes the spoils.
Could he be looking for us on Twitter?
LOL
Speaking of...TB3, are you on that platform?
Twitter? No. Social Media is a toxic environment. It's a digital playground where everyone's worst aspects are allowed to stand on their soapboxes and spout the most hate-filled, abusive, and evil thoughts that come to mind. It's a place that this is done without the fear of what would likely happen if they stood on an actual soap box in front of actual people: Getting punched in the face.
Since those environments are also run for the purposes of profit, moderation and policing is lackadaisical the environment has metastasized into breeding grounds where cowards, chauvanists and racists have an overblown sense of entitlement and a delusion that they aren't the social pariahs that they really are. Look at the outcries for "Freedom of Speech" anytime one of those "communities" gets slapped on Facebook or Reddit. Don't even have to go to Facebook or Reddit for that. Look at JTF's pitiable temper tantrum at DD's light moderation here.
So, no. I limit my exposure to that platform as much as possible because I don't need to be wallowing around in a mudpuddle with a bunch of JTFs.
"So, no. I limit my exposure to that platform as much as possible..." ~~ TB3
Okay, so you are on Twitter. ;-)
I don't have an account, no. However, when we've got a President who uses it for all his "official" statements, you kind of have to look at it from time to time. Which, I guess, is more effort than what the President puts out "thinking" of what he's going to troll with next.
TB3, you're absolutely right about the platform being a "toxic environment". After only having an account for a month I'm amazed at the hatefulness and total disregard for people's legitimate thoughts and feelings.
It's a strange, and often times dark place.
Twitter is virtually like "America's Big Tavern" where all the drunks go to yell at each other. Fortunately the drunks are separated by Plexiglas screens.
And most of the women have balls as big as coconuts... ;-)
It's a conditioned response to unsolicited dick moves, I'm sure.
Still no word from our good ol' boy, huh?
Ol' Vern's been mighty quiet lately. Even his attention-seeking personal love notes have stopped.
Let's hope he is enjoying a quiet retirement.
Yes, might be "enjoying" a very quiet retirement...
