meeting on water contaminants.

Environmental Protection Agency is barring The Associated Press, CNN and the
environmental-focused news organization E&E from a national summit on
harmful water contaminants.
The EPA blocked the news organizations from attending Tuesday’s Washington meeting, convened by EPA chief Scott Pruitt.
EPA spokesman Jahan Wilcox told the barred organizations they were not invited and there was no space for them, but gave no indication of why they specifically were barred.
Pruitt told about 200 people at the meeting that dealing with the contaminants is a “national priority.”
Guards barred an AP reporter from passing through a security checkpoint inside the building. When the reporter asked to speak to an EPA public-affairs person, the security guards grabbed the reporter by the shoulders and shoved her forcibly out of the EPA building.

Stories like this make me think that we may be farther along in our fascist takeover than even I realize. Really scary CRAP. Remember when President Obama was our leader...all the whining from the right about him being a dictator? Can you say projection?
Regarding the environment, we should all be really concerned. The deregulation is always focused on profit,and nothing else. I feel sorry for all the animals getting squeezed out also. Ironically, I am a "car guy" at heart, motorcycles, etc., yet I will surely sacrifice my interests for the greater good, unlike the "liberty loving" conservatives(aka selfish ones.)
They're scared. They know their actions can't stand the light of honest reporting.
They also know -- and they're correct, unfortunately -- that many in the mainstream media are cowards who will pull their punches for the sake of protecting their treasured "access" to those in power. I see this thuggery as a reminder that that access is indeed under threat if they don't pay at least some lip-service to the propaganda that sustains the wingnut fake reality.
Infidel, I agree wholeheartedly. Amazing how the ones who constantly whine about their freedoms, aren't about freedom at all...it's always about control and power. I wish more people would wake up before it's too late.
