A Thought for February 29th

We know how much the Decider likes to frame his permanent war as “the defining struggle of the 21st century”. He tells us he is defending freedom from “Islamo-Fascism”.

Osama Bin-Laden also believes it is the defining struggle of the 21st century. He is defending Islam from the infidels.

The real defining struggle of the 21st century is between ignorance and consciousness.

Both Bush and Bin-Laden are on the side of ignorance.

In that they are allies. Osama bin Laden has done more for Bush that any other by giving him an excuse to trash our Constitution and trample on our rights. Bush has done more for Osama than any other by fomenting hatred for the US among Muslims and thus serving as the best recruiting poster boy Al Qaeda has ever had.
